Gordon Strachan has been confirmed as the new manager of Scotland. The former Celtic and Middlesbrough boss replaces Craig Levein, who was sacked in November. Capped 50 times, Strachan featured in Scotland's 1982 and 1986 World Cup finals campaigns and is bound to be a popular appointment as he plans to drag the Tartan Army out of the International doldrums.
