The Geordies got a last minute goal against the Black Cats after Sunderland ended the match with 9 men. Fulham put 5 past Terry Connor's Wolves and Man U perhaps undeservedly beat Spurs 3-1 at WHL.
Equally Arsenal were a little fortunate to beat Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield. RvP was on the scoresheet of course. It ended 1-1 between Blackburn and Villa, City beat Lancashire rivals Bolton 2-0, Stoke beat Norwich 1-0 and the Baggies was to be the last port of call for AVB as Chelsea lost to West Brom 1-0.
Finally Swansea won at Wigan 2-0 to continue their fantastic first season.
