Week 36 in review

A bumper week of exciting end of season games:

Tuesday April 13th
Anelka chalked up a big win for Chelski.

Wednesday April 14th
A late Jagielka o.g. gave Villa an important 2-2 draw at home to Everton, Pompey held Wigan 0-0 and in the big one a certain Danny Rose of N&R FL fame and a huge Arsenal fan scored Tottenham's opening goal in the massive derby win over the Gunners. Oh the irony..

Saturday April 17th
Birmingham must have been rubbish to only draw 0-0 at home to Iain Dowie's Hull. A late slapping of the corner flag meant that Tim Cahill got Everton's last minute winner at Blackburn, thus winning 3-2. An even later goal from 52-year old Paul Scholes gave United a win over their City rivals. It was a day for late goals as Matt Taylor plundered two for Bolton at Stoke to win 2-1.

Mind you Frank Lampard's late goal at White Hart Lane was just a consolation as Spurs rounded off a superb week beating title chasers Chelsea 2-1. Bale and Defoe the scorers. Darren Bent got Sunderland's 2nd in their 2-1 win over down and out Burnley. Fulham and Wolves drew 0-0.

Sunday April 18th
Delfouneso got Villa's winner over relegated Pompey, and in the later game Arsenal added to their stinker of a week by blowing a 2-goal lead at Wigan. N'Zogbia getting the 3rd goal for the Latics in a famous 3-2 win.

Monday April 19th
West Ham were toilet at Anfield as ex-Hammer Benayoun, Ngog and an o.g. from Robert Green sealed a 3-0 defeat.
