Road to Wembley - Hornets beat plucky Pilgrims

Watford scraped into the semi-finals of the FA Cup but were made to work for their progress by a valiant Plymouth.

HAMUER BOUAZZA powered in a left-foot shot (can be seen here in 3D) to put the visitors ahead but the goal galvanised Plymouth. Watford keeper Ben Foster palmed away a Kevin Gallen free-kick and denied Sylvan Ebanks-Blake when one-on-one as Plymouth created plenty of chances But despite being roared on by the Home Park fans they were frustrated by Foster and their lack of a finishing touch as they bowed out of the competition.

Watford team: Foster, Mariappa, Shittu, DeMerit, Powell, Smith, Francis, Mahon, Bouazza, Kabba (Chambers 59), Priskin (Henderson 73).
Subs Not Used: Lee, Doyley, Rinaldi.
Att: 20,652
MoM: Foster

Therefore the Hornets continue to be our team of choice for the 3rd time but sadly for them they did not manage to avoid the 'big guns' in the semi and were drawn against the winners of Middlesbro and Man U. The date for the semi's are the weekend of 14-15th April, with the neutral venue yet to be decided.

Full draw:
Watford v Middlesbrough or Man Utd
Chelsea or Tottenham v Blackburn.
