
According to one of the founders Alun Parry: "The club was set up to provide a match-going experience for Liverpool fans who have been priced out of Premier League football."
For £10 you can become a member of the club and it's only a fiver entrance money for each home game, compared to nearly £50 at Liverpool. But then again you will be watching the likes of Bacup Borough and not Chelsea!
The club has adopted the same colours, fan songs and is based around the same community as Liverpool F.C. They play at Valerie Park in Prescot 8 miles from Anfield. Joey Jones and John Aldridge are club patrons and occasionally get a game!
On Saturday 20th August, AFC Liverpool will host fellow North West Counties League Premier Division side Runcorn Linnets in the Extra Preliminary Round in their first ever home FA Cup tie.
