Week 40 overview

The final dramatic week then.

Man City came behind to beat QPR 3-2 but Rangers were safe after Bolton were drew away at Stoke 2-2. Man U won at Sunderland 1-0, but ot was to no avail.

Arsenal grabbed third place beating WBA 3-2 at The Hawthorns. Spurs beat Fulham 2-0 to finish 4th, but it will be the Europa League for them after Chelsea won the Champions League.

Chelsea beat relegated Blackburn 2-1, Everton finished strong and above their Mersey rivals after beating Newcastle 3-1.

Liverpool lost to Swansea 1-0 in what was King Kenny's final match. Likewise Villa under Alex McLeish who lost to Norwich 2-0.

Wigan beat Wolves 3-2 and in a game on the previous Tuesday Liverpool thrashed Chelsea 4-1. It was a week of goals and points for our FL managers.
