Only Man City won at home on opening day beating Swansea with 4 second half goals. Fellow new boys Norwich drew at Wigan 1-1 and QPR were stuffed at home by Bolton in a nightmare first game for Neil Warnock.
Arsenal drew 0-0 at St James' in a dull game with only Joey Barton and Gervinho providing any sort of entertainment. Liverpool started their game against Sunderland on fire with Suarez scoring the Premier League's opening goal of the season but Larsson replied with a cracker.
Wolves won at Blackburn and Fulham and Villa shared at goalless draw at the Cottage. Man Utd won late at West Brom 2-1 even though they only had one shot on goal, and Stoke held Chelsea to a 0-0 at the Brittania.
