Pedersen and a McCarthy penalty meant that Blackburn survived relegation at home to Pompey. Sunderland's goalless draw at the Reebok means that Ricky Sbragia's side are still right in the doo-doo. Everton and Spurs played out another score-less draw in a good week for goalkeepers.

Stoke beat Hull, who haven't won since Phil Brown found tan in a bottle and Murphy and Kamara twice helped Fulham to another fine win, this time over the Villa.
