Road to Wembley - Crawley look to upset Royals

The FA Cup enters the 3rd Round this weekend and always one of the most exciting days on the football calendar.

Our N&R FL boys Crawley Town host Premier League strugglers Reading and a shock may well be on the cards. Crawley's Director of Football Steve Coppell left Reading in 2009 after five and a half years in charge of the Royals and he alongside manager Richie Barker will help plot another Crawley scalp.

Crawley have reached the fifth round of the FA Cup in each of the past two seasons, pulling off six upsets in the process.

Their runs were ended by Manchester United in 2010-11 and Stoke City in 2011-12.

This year they have beaten two non-league sides - Metropolitan Police and Chelmsford City - en route to the third round.

The two sides meet at the Broadfield Stadium on Saturday and the West Sussex club are expecting a possible sell-out crowd of almost 6,000, which will include 1,400 away supporters.
