Stat of the week

We have all watched the demise of Portsmouth, the most mismanaged club for a generation except for when Avram Grant was manager of West Ham.

Pompey's entire team is made up of trialists and short-term contracted players, each not getting paid and with just an IOU from a potential buyer to show for their efforts.

Yesterday they won their first game of the season, comfortably beating 9-man Crawley 3-0.

Stat of the week:

On this day three years ago, Portsmouth were 85 league places above Crawley Town.
