Chelsea saw off Wolves 2-0 at home, Birmingham did the same to Blackpool. Villa lost to a Dunne o.g. at Sunderland.
WBA continued their great season by overcoming Fulham 2-1. Newcastle won at Upton Park 2-1. Carroll and Nolan shared the goals as well as a roof. Wigan drew with Bolton and Spurs drew with Everton.
On the Sunday Liverpool just edged past Blackburn and Arsenal thrashed 10-Man City 3-0 away from home whilst Hernandez grabbed a late winner for Man U in the Potteries.
