Week 8 review

Everton finally won some points and they won them at Birmingham of all places who were a year unbeaten at St Andrews. Cahill and a Johnson o.g. gave the Toffees a 2-0 win.

Stoke beat Blackburn 1-0, while Sunderland and Man U played out a goalless draw at the SoL. Baggies and Bolton drew 1-1, Morrison for WBA and Elmander for the visitors.

It was 1-1 too at Upton Park as West Ham continued their recovery with a point over draw specialists Fulham. Wigan beat Wolves 2-0, the black and gold having Henry sent off and Van der Vaart scored two crackers as Spurs beat Villa in the game of the day.

On the Sunday City beat Newcastle 2-1, Tevez and Johnson scoring for the Blues, Chelsea comfortably saw off title rivals Arsenal 2-0, with Drogba scoring his umpteenth goal in this fixture and then as American sports team owners line up at the ATM, Blackpool snatched a magnificent victory at Anfield with Adam and Luke Varney helping the Tangerines to a deserved and historic win.
