Week 39 review

Wednesday May 5th
Stoke won at Fulham 1-0 with Matthew Etherington with the goal. I hope he a bet on the first goalscorer!

Then in the biggie Spurs fully deserved their 1-0 victory at Eastlands. Peter Crouch with the late all important winner that meant Spurs finished 4th.

Last day of the season
Chelsea won the title in the best way possible by absolutely stuffing Wigan 8-0.
Lampard took the first from the spot, Kalou, A Cole, two from Anelka and a hat-trick from golden booter Drogba. Man U beat Stoke 4-0 but it didn't matter.

Wolves ended their season well with a 2-1 home win over Sunderland. In what was in the end a meaningless game West Ham and Man City drew 1-1 at Upton Park, relegated Hull drew 0-0 at home to Liverpool, who just avoided relegation.

Commentators nightmare Bilyaletdinov got the 94th minute winner for Everton over Pompey. Spurs' players were all carrying hangovers as they got well beat at Burnley, who depart back to whence they came. I blame Owen Coyle.

Bolton beat Birmingham, Blackburn won away for a change at Villa Park and Arsenal stuffed Europa Cup bound Fulham 4-0. Arshavin, Van Persie, Baird (o.g.) and Vela scored.
