The quarter finals took place last weekend.
With the Cup competition being congested into the latter part of the season, it has turned more into contest of the most in-form teams in our League, which if nothing else gives us an insight to whom the late challengers might be in the run up to the prize giving. A nice shiny trophy will be rewarded to the winner of the N&R Cup at the annual end of season drinkies. Now for the results:
N&R Cup 4th Rd Results:
Danny Matthews 35 - 37 Ian Kennett
Neil Reynolds 52 - 37 Ben Graves
Danny Rose 45 - 20 Mark Wenman
Paul Hargis 25 - 45 Tim Feldbruegge & Frank Malloy
The two favourites, well one favourite Neil Reynolds and one favorite, Tim & Frank both came through unscathed to reach the N&R Cup Semi-Finals. Neil beat off rival Ben Graves and Tim & Frank overcame big giantslayer Paul Hargis. Sorry Paul, it was a great run.
In the closest tie Ian Kennett beat Danny Chong Matthews 37-35, and the fourth memeber of the final 4 will be Danny Rose who comfortably beat Wenners 45-20.
The draw for the N&R Cup Semi-Finals will be made in a minute when everyone goes home and know one will be wondering what I am doing with this big hat on my desk....
