Breaking News 88888 Manager of week 16
Two rather surprising names cropped up in week 16 to not only share the week’s MoW award but also stroll out in front in the season’s best weekly score contest.
Firstly Chris Waterman’s Californication, who last year finished 6th overall but have so far struggled to make any impact did his hopes of qualifying for the Premiership a wonder of good by smashing a season best 78 points to leave him trailing qualification from Serie B by just 46 points.
And then illegal immigrant Davor Duvancic matched Chris’ score with one of his own the cement his #1 Strugglers probable place to promotion in Serie A.
Feel sorry for Ryan’s Savchenko Spurs and Aon Re’s new recruit Paul Kelleher, whose Epping 'dog walking' club who both just missed out in the highest collective scoring week of the season. Ryan scored 77 and PK 76, both beating the season's previous best of 75, scored by Kirstie Baillie.
Other teams who excelled in week 16 were Muddy Funsters and Vote Seagull Party, who both hit 74 and Brighton Blues and Goonersmoan, who both posted a 71.
It was a cracking week for points though with 31 teams scoring more than 50 and with 27 managers achieving their best score of the season.
Le Guen’s revolution came off worst though. Lee had the honour of week 16’s lowest score, a still respectable 26 points.
